Kid Koala shares “Collapser” – the first vocal track from Music To Draw To: Satellite, his ambient electronic journey with Icelandic singer Emilíana Torrini. The song features poetic lyrics by Kid Koala (a.k.a. Eric San) sung in Emilíana’s spectral, icy style over a pulsating sequence of keyboards, analog synthesizers, samplers, and controllers.
Evoking the gelid Montreal winter, Music To Draw To: Satellite tells a heartrending tale of discovery and loss through the lens of a couple separated by a one-way space mission to Mars. “Collapser” captures the wayward lament of the star-bound half, as Emilíana repeats San’s beautiful but sombre mantra: No plan, no map, at this rate, we’ll all collapse.
