Juvon Taylor's New EP 'KING OF HEARTS'
Juvon Taylor will be releasing his much anticipated EP King Of Hearts on November 7th, BUT for the lucky fans that went to the EP release party on October 24th in Toronto, Christmas came early.
Down a brightly lit staircase, you are graced with the warmth and intimacy of The Drake Hotel basement where Juvon performed powerful pieces off his new EP and melted hearts all over the place (is that why it’s called King Of Hearts?), starting with Dim The Lights Pt. 1. A lucky audience member even got a little intimate moment with Juvon when he pulled her up to the stage and sat her down on a chair, serenading her with Satisfaction. I have no idea who this person was but...
she seemed satisfied... Hell WE WERE ALL SATISFIED from watching... Drank a lot of cold water that night.
"These songs all revolve around an experience that I had. It reflects on my state of mind just before/during/after a terrible breakup, from deception, to falling for the promising depiction created by my ex-girlfriend. Obviously these images we're never really real. You can see and feel a change within the lyrics and the music as the EP/story progresses."
Half way through the show, although not expected, Juvon went through an outfit change. Not a standard thing to do for an up-and-coming artist but his talent is recognized by local designers such as NOZO. This guy does not f*** around. Serious about his shit.
EP official release date is on Friday November 7th 2014, with a music video dropping soon for the opening track The Lonely Hour.
