The Best and Worst Baseball entry songs of 2013

From country to hip hop, rock to rap, baseball players all look forward to being next at bat;the official walkout entrance song. An entrance song is a time for fans to really see and connect with these players on a different level.  Everyone can connect through music, and seeing someone walk out to 'Guns N Roses' or French Montana really changes your perception of the player… for either good or bad. For the most part in sports, if a player is doing well- he really can do what he needs to bring him to that elite level.  And in baseball if walking out to 'Call Me Maybe' by Carly Rae Jepsen works and you're batting average is .336 (which is hella good in baseball) then so be it, do what you gotta do! Below I have put together a list of the most random, but enjoyable selections from the 2013 MLB season.

Matt Adams: "Cash Flow" by Ace Hood featuring Rick Ross, T-Pain & DJ Khaled ...Well this first baseman is 260 pounds and how else to connect to a similar stature then Rick Ross.  More cash flow please..

Shane Victorino: "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley ...Easy to say "don't worry about a thing.. this Hawaiian native has every right to walk up to bat with this crowd pleaser.  Shane, every little thing gonna be alright.

Carlos Beltran: "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N' Roses To say the least, this song choice goes well with how Beltran's career has been.  He is a seasoned vet, no one can deny how good he was in his prime and even now he can walk up to this cliche choice here.

Xander Bogaerts: "Beautiful" by Snoop Dogg featuring Pharrell ...Everyone needs some Caribbean inflected music mid-summer and what could be better than hearing this and swaying your hips.

Luke Scott: "Rock You Like a Hurricane" by Scorpions ...Naturally the guy with biggest sideburns would have to rock out to ...this 80s hit and in fact rock us like a hurricane.

Trevor Cahill: "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane ...Like such a random selection, especially since the song is about tripping on drugs. I don't really get the joke?

Eric Chavez: "Check Yo Self" by Ice Cube ...Cuz someone's gotta walk in to ice cube

Anthony Gose/Juan Uribe: "This Is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan ...Because the party is here on the west side and some of these guys gotta walk out to this one hit wonder!

David Wright: "I Got 5 on It" by Luniz ...If you listen to this song enough times in a row, you’ll be taken back in time to the 90s.

Xavier Paul: "Tha Crossroads" by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony ...Pour one out for bone thugs n harmony.

David Hernandez: "Gangsta’s Paradise" by Coolio Secretly don’t we all wanna feel like a gangsta in paradise.. he really is the kinda G the little homies wanna be like.

Ichiro Suzuki: "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO Common. This little firecracker from Japan walking out to the hit of 2012. Doesn't get much better than this.

And not all songs are to be praised.  There has been a fair share of players that need to be criticized for their choice of song, especially if they haven't been having the greatest year. But on that point, these guys are making millions- essentially they can walk out to whatever the f*$k they want too..

And at the end of the day, one man's lullaby is another man's motivation- that can't be truer than with all of these random pairing.  Athletes know how to get the job done.  I'll leave you with this.. if you were walking up to bat, what would your entry song be?
